Hyperemesis gravidarum, is severe pregnancy related nausea and vomiting. Not only is it uncomfortable, but can be debilitating and potentially dangerous causing electrolyte imbalance, weight loss, and dehydration. Although the cause is not 100% known, it is believed that it is caused by the rise in hormone levels when pregnant.
